Print Techniques.
All our designs are printed using a technique called Plot Printing. This high quality, robust printing style allows for striking colours that will not fade. The designs will last longer than the fabric they are printed on!
Plot printing comes in two varieties: Flex printing and Flock printing.
Flex print is slick, smooth, shiny and elegant. The name comes from its flexible properties: it will stretch with the fabric and is therefore very robust. Flex print is available in striking colours, even neon, metallic and reflex ones.
Flock print feels great: somewhat velvety and a bit elevated. And it looks soft. It is almost as durable as flex print, and its colours will remain bright and bold.

Advantages to plot printing:
- Print is very soft - super quality!
- Almost permanent, designs don't fade
- Printing also available on dark textiles
- Disadvantages:
- Only one, two or three colours per design
- No colour blending
Once you place your order for a shirt, it is created in the following way:
Step 1: A large computerised blade cuts the designs out of smooth, thin flex material or soft, velvety flock material. Multicoloured designs will be cut from several sheets, one for each colour.
Step 2: The design is carefully separated from the colour sheet by hand. In case of complex motives, this is hard work!
Step 3: The design is transferred to the fabric, using high pressure and temperatures. This is done by hand as well. Designs are carefully placed in an optimal location, which may mean minimal differences between shirts.
Step 4: The transfer sheet is then peeled off, and voilà - your shirt is finished!
